Graham's Bio
Retired as a Corporal after serving 27 years in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. During my career I worked in General Duties, General Investigations Section, Serious Crimes, Drug Section and Informatics Coordinator on a Management Team. I have taught Basic Security training (BST #1) since 1994 with a teaching Certificate from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. For over 10 years I have taught Loss Prevention in the classroom in addition to onsite training in stores. In the past five years I have worked in three different businesses as an employee, but the main purpose being to consult on security measures that could be implemented in so far as employee and customer theft. I enjoy this work and have written a program from my background and experiences that I hope will assist you in your capacity to reduce the amount of theft that may be taking place in your business.

Loss Prevention
Loss Prevention is something, that if you as a business owner or manager do not keep up to date on and implement policies and procedures it can cause you huge losses during the year. Loss prevention covers a wide area and to encompass every aspect of it, this program covers perimeter security in addition to all aspects of internal security.
Some topics we will be exploring are: Why people steal. What type of people steal. Methods that people use to steal. Employee theft. What do we do when we catch a thief, either a customer or an employee. Measures that can be put into place to assist in decreasing the amount of merchandise that is stolen.
