The Flood

It's been raining here for what feels like forever, and as I write this at the end of June, it has really been 18 straight days of rain, and months of off and on rain.
Yesterday I decided to go to town, Hanna was cranky and the both of us are getting cabin fever stuck in this house for so long. We met my mom in town and did some shopping, dodging raindrops, trying to stay dry. We had a nice time. We ate at this new pizza place called Fuzion Pizza. It was fantastic!!

When I grow up

When I was younger I always wanted to be that girl. That girl being the one who you always felt comfortable asking if they had an extra pencil you could borrow. That girl in my life happened to be a friend of mine named Toni Mitchell. She tragically died the summer before our senior year in high school, but her spirit has stayed with me and inspired me throughout my life.

I've heard it expressed that there are a couple of ways of going about creating a living. There are prepackaged careers that one can just step into and there are careers that are crafted a piece at a time, take longer to create but offer so much more freedom and flexibility.
I choose a prepackaged career (I am a nurse) but now I am finding that I would like to experience something more flexible. How would I go about beginning the process of building a crafted career? I am asking you this because it appears that you have done it as do most of the others in this fine magazine.

The 'refer a friend' draw was a huge success and we want to thank everyone who participated!!
We have our winners!!
We will be contacting the winners on Monday October 1 to let them know what they have won. Once we have secured each winners permission, we will post their names so you can all see who own. So if you entered, watch your inbox!
The prizes that are waiting to be claimed are:
1 copy of the secret DVD.
1 set of 10 energy cards.
1 free prepaid gift card from 'send out cards.'
As we said, the draw was a huge success - so much so that we added an extra prize. Our most frequent contestant - with 17 entries - will also be receiving a prize. We have secured for our most frequent, free basic advertising space on the LOA Yellow Pages. This prize has the value of $59.97.
In fact, it was such a huge success that we will be running it again for the October issue. You have until December 27 to enter in the new draw and it is as simple as using the 'refer a friend' function on the magazine. Every time you use it, you are entered into the draw.
We will be posting the new contest prizes on the contest page by October 7th, 2007
